About Me

About Me (not actually me in picture)

Hi everyone!

Welcome to Astronomy View Finder! I’m happy you chose to stop by

in 2022 I was at a local astronomy event. I had an idea on building a website about something that I’m passionate about, but didn’t know what topic to cover. Then I got the idea to make an astronomy website not long after that astronomy meeting.

My Story

Since I was a child, I’ve always been passionate about astronomy. I would watch multiple space documentaries, some on NOVA and others on other channels such as National Geographic and Discovery Channel.

I learned about the Big Bang, the expanding universe, dark matter and dark energy, and more. I’d also learn about the different kinds of planets, exoplanets, different types of stars, and so on.

I’d be in awe as I learned about M-Theory and Quantum Mechanics as well, but this website is about astronomy and telescopes.

Our Universe is a vast place and you don’t have to be a NASA employee to see it! You can get a telescope as an armature astronomer and see the vastness pf space with your own eyes! You can even become an astrophotographer and capture your stunning space photographs yourself!

I Want To Teach You About Astronomy, And Help You Find Your Own Telescope

Becoming an amateur astronomer is not as simple as buying the first telescope you see, so here at Astronomy View Finder I will share what I’m learning as an amater astronomer and guide you into buying your own telescope.

Here you will learn the ins and outs of telescope astronomy and I will share recommendations based on specs.

Let’s Get You Started on YOUR Astronomy Journey

On my website, you will both learn about Astronomy and different telescopes for your different needs.

Just as a Viewfinder helps you locate space objects, Astronomy View Finder will help you find a telescope to help you begin your journey into amateur astronomy!

Whether that be a telescope for looking at the planets, seeing deep space objects, looking at the sun(yes, there are specific kinds of telescopes for that), computerized telescopes, etc. Here, you can also learn about astronomy.

If you ever need a hand or have any questions, feel free to leave them below and I will be more than happy to help you out.

All the best,

Matthew
